A DAY IN THE CITY
There is nothing like going to the city during the holidays. We decided to take the elevated train into the city the other day. It brought back memories of when I was a child and went with my mom, brother, grandma and cousins. The city has changed some since then...but it was nice to go anyways. Ray and I went with another couple, Llash and April. It was the first time they had rode the elevated train.

and the stockings were hung...
With Christmas 1 week away I think my house is as decorated as it's going to get. Usually I put up more decorations, but I found myself very busy this year. Some of the decorations are still in the plastic storage bins.

Wednesday is "Grand baby Day"
Grampster and I (Mimi) started a new little tradition with our grand babies. Every Wednesday we pick up the little ones and they come over for dinner and playtime--- (Without mommy and daddy). This gives us time with the babies....plus gives Tiffany and Rich some time of their own. It has worked out very well so far,and I think the "uncles" enjoy it too!

Zoo lights
A Cold Night at Lincoln Park Zoo. Ray and I were asked if we wanted to go to Lincoln Park Zoo on Saturday night. So a group of us, Ken, Tiffany, Rich, Jacob, Makayla, Rich's brother michael and his wife Sara all bundled up and headed to the Zoo. We enjoyed walking around and seeing all the Christmas Decorations and lights. Most of the animals were resting or sleeping since it was during the evening. Even though it was cold and a little crowded we had a great time.

Jacob was getting a little cold, so we headed inside the gift shop to warm up. Jacob found some cute books that he wanted to look at. |
